What does the MailBluster Starter plan include?
With the Starter plan, you can:
Send up to 3,000 total emails per account, one time only.
But the following restrictions apply:
No lead custom fields.
No lead export.
No email automation.
No access to Pro templates.
MailBluster branding appears on the email footer, unsubscribe pages, and forms.
Reports and metrics cannot be exported.
Only basic customer support is provided.
Who should try the Starter plan?
The Starter plan is best for individuals or small teams who want to explore MailBluster’s Free Plan options before paying. It’s a way to check deliverability, learn how the platform works, and test its features without risk.
If you’re still deciding whether MailBluster fits your business needs, the Starter plan gives you a safe way to try it out. When you’re ready to grow, upgrading to the Pro plan unlocks automation, advanced reporting, premium templates, and priority support.
MailBluster has two pricing plans: Starter and Pro. Understanding the pricing plans of MailBluster helps you choose the right option for your email marketing needs.
The Starter plan will allow you to send total 3,000 emails with MailBluster branding on all the outgoing emails, and unsubscribe pages. Also, you do not need to add any Billing Card to use the Starter plan.
For the Pro plan, you’ll need to pay a subscription fee of $60/ year ($5 / month) to use the Pro features of MailBluster: Automation. custom fields, Pro templates, Export leads and reports, no MailBluster branding, etc. You will also be charged $0.60 for sending every 1000 emails from your brand.
The Pro plan pricing and features of MailBluster provide advanced tools for businesses that need more control over their email campaigns. The Pro plan of MailBluster is a combination of Prepaid and Postpaid service. You will be required to add a Billing Card to each of your MailBluster Brand and select the Pro plan to be able to send campaigns after clicking on Remove MailBluster branding. This will remove MailBluster branding from all the outgoing emails including the branding elements from email footers, unsubscribe pages, subscribe pages and forms under that specific brand. Also you will have access to Pro features: Automation, Custom Fields, Pro Templates, Export leads and Reports and much more.
The prepaid charge is $60 per year (equivalent to $5 per month).
There is no sending limit for the Pro plan and the pricing is postpaid, that is you will be billed only $0.60 for sending every 1000 emails from MailBluster. You will only need to pay based on your usage at the end of each month.
On each campaign edit page, at the bottom section, MailBluster displays how much it will cost you approximately for the campaign to send. If you select Remove MailBluster branding, you will be switched to Pro Plan.
Point to be noted, MailBluster does not include Amazon SES pricing as it is completely separate from MailBluster. Amazon SES will charge you $0.10 per 1000 emails after you cross their free quota limit (3,000 emails free per month). To learn more about Amazon SES pricing, visit: https://aws.amazon.com/ses/pricing.
To summarize, the Pro plan pricing and features are ideal for businesses that require automation, custom templates, and detailed reporting. The plan balances affordability with advanced functionality, allowing you to scale your email marketing effectively.
When you have reached 3k email limit on Starter plan, you will not be able to use this plan. You have to switch to “Pro” plan and will be able to send as many emails as you want, with a charge of $0.60 for every 1000 emails through MailBluster (SMTP Fees Excluded). Subscribing to the Pro plan requires an additional $60 per year ($5 per month). Once you upgrade, you also gain access to advanced features like automation, custom fields, Pro templates, and the ability to export leads and reports.
If you haven’t used the 3k free email quota included in the “Starter” plan, you can still access it by switching back to the “Starter” plan from the “Pro” plan. For example, if you initially switched to the “Pro” plan without using the free emails, you can revert to the “Starter” plan to utilize the 3k free email campaigns. However, if you have already used up the free 3k emails while on the “Starter” plan, you will need to upgrade to the “Pro” plan to continue using MailBluster.
Yes, you do need to pay $60 per year for each brand in MailBluster under the Pro plan. Each brand costs $60 annually (or $5 per month). A Brand in MailBluster means an organization, company, or product. Every new brand you add requires its own subscription.
For further details, please visit the MailBluster Pricing page and MailBluster My Plan after signup. You can also check out the pricing calculator in homepage to estimate your monthly costs.
Upgrading to the Pro plan, as shown below, and leaving ‘Remove MailBluster branding’ from any campaign unchecked will not enable you to send emails for free using MailBluster.
Here, we have left unchecked ‘Remove MailBluster branding’, but still the campaign is showing total cost to send bulk emails.
After upgrading to the Pro plan, you can add MailBluster branding to your campaigns simply by leaving the ‘Remove MailBluster branding’ option unchecked.
After receiving campaign mail, you will notice the MailBluster branding at the footer of your email.
MailBluster pricing does not include Amazon SES Fees.
Amazon will charge you separately on your Amazon account according to the Amazon SES and Amazon SNS pricing structure. For example:
If you are using MailBluster ‘Starter’ plan you can send 3k emails one time only without any charge and AWS will not charge you due to initial free quota by AWS.
If you are using MailBluster ‘Pro’ plan and send 100k emails a month, MailBluster will charge you $60 ($0.60 for every 1000 emails), and Amazon SES will charge you $9.7 separately.
The pricing plans of Amazon SES help businesses manage email campaigns at any scale. Amazon SES offers a Free Tier that allows you to send up to 3,000 emails per month without charge for the first year. From the next year onward, no free emails are provided. If you exceed the free quota limit at any time, they will charge you $0.10 for every 1000 emails and $0.12 for each GB of attachments sent through Amazon SES.

The Amazon SNS Fee determines the cost of using MailBluster’s notification system. The calculation for SNS is a bit complex. MailBluster uses the HTTP/s Endpoint notification delivery type, which costs $0 for the first 100,000 requests a month, and an additional $0.60 per million requests. More details on SNS pricing can be found here.
For example,
To give you an approximate idea of the cost: If you send 100k emails with a 20% open rate and a 10% click rate, the total SNS requests will be (100,000 for delivery + 20,000 for opens + 10,000 clicks) = 130,000. The Amazon SNS charge will be (130,000 – 100,000) = 30,000 x ($0.60/1,000,000) = $0.018.
So, in this example, Amazon SNS Fee would be less than two cents — very affordable even at scale.
For sending every 1000 emails, MailBluster will charge you $0.6. If you send only 1 email, then MailBluster will charge you $0.6. If you send even 1001 emails, then MailBluster will charge $1.2. If you send even 2001 emails, then MailBluster will charge $1.8. So you need to be careful and double check the costing before sending any bulk email campaigns from MailBluster.
Be sure to check out the pricing from https://mailbluster.com/#pricing and if you scroll down, you’ll find our pricing calculator, which can help you estimate the cost of your email campaigns accurately.

The pay-as-you-go pricing meaning in MailBluster is simple: you pay based on actual usage rather than a flat fee. This model allows flexibility, especially for businesses that send different volumes of emails each month. The Pro plan has two pricing components that run simultaneously:
1. Subscription fee: This unlocks MailBluster Pro features and is charged yearly at the start of your subscription. 2. Pay-as-you-go fee: This is based on your email sending usage and is charged at the end of each month.
MailBluster values the contributions of organizations that serve society. To support them, it offers special charity and non-profit discounts. In recognition of their efforts, MailBluster offers a special lifetime discount of 30% on the Pro plan’s subscription fee and pay-as-you-go pricing rate.
To avail this offer, please contact MailBluster support center and provide any legal documents of your registered non-profit or charity institution. After verification, MailBluster applies the discount directly to your brand.
With this offer, MailBluster ensures that charities and non-profit organizations can access powerful tools without financial strain. The charity and non-profit discounts help these organizations run campaigns, engage their supporters, and maximize their impact at a reduced cost.
