Here you will learn configure a custom domain or subdomain for tracking in order to further improve deliverability.
The following are the steps which will let you configure custom domain on AWS,
- Enable open and click tracking from Amazon SES for your brand’s configuration set mailbluster-XXXXX (example: mailbluster-51757) , just as you previously disabled it.
- From the “General Details” of the configuration set mailbluster-XXXXX (here, mailbluster-51757), click on the Edit button.
- On the edit screen, set your custom redirection domain (please refer to the screenshots below).
- After saving the custom redirection URL configuration, add the provided DNS record to your domain’s DNS records list.
Navigate to your AWS Account, go to Amazon SES > Configuration sets > mailbluster-51757. Then click the Edit button.

Under Tracking options, check “Use a custom redirect domain,” enter “track-custom” and your full domain name, then select “Required” for HTTPS policy.

Add the CNAME record in your domain’s DNS as shown below.

Please note: MailBluster does not offer its own click tracking system. However, you can configure a custom domain for tracking instead of using the AWS tracking URL. Additionally, the DNS record for your custom tracking domain must support HTTPS.
